These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of our website and to all services provided by BrightLight Theatre & Events, including theatre work, event services, and educational workshops. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services

We provide a range of services including (but not limited to):

Theatre & Technical: lighting and AV design, stage management, consultation, and technical support.

Events: wedding and corporate garden game hire, quizzes, race nights, discos, bingo, karaoke, and PA hire.

Education: workshops and training sessions for schools, colleges, universities, and teachers. This includes lighting and design workshops, 

outreach programmes, CPD for teachers, and curriculum-linked activities.

 

3. Bookings & Payment

A booking is only confirmed once written confirmation is provided by us (email or signed agreement).

A deposit may be required to secure your booking. This will be communicated at the time of booking.

Full payment must be made by the agreed deadline (usually prior to the event or workshop delivery).

Late payments may result in cancellation of services.

 

4. Cancellations & Refunds

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible.

Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Refunds (if applicable) will be issued at our discretion, depending on the circumstances and costs already incurred.

If we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund any payments made in full.

 

5. Event Hire Terms (for Garden Games & Equipment)

Hired equipment remains the property of BrightLight Theatre & Events.

The hirer is responsible for the safe use of the equipment during the hire period.

Any loss or damage caused through misuse or negligence may be charged to the hirer.

Equipment must be returned in the same condition it was supplied.

 

6. Education Services (Workshops, CPD, Outreach)

Schools and organisations booking workshops or CPD must ensure a safe working environment is provided (e.g., appropriate space, supervision, and safeguarding in place).

Teachers or responsible adults must remain present during workshops with students under 18.

We are not responsible for student supervision or classroom management beyond delivering the workshop content.

Workshop content and resources are provided for educational purposes only and may not be reproduced or distributed without our consent.

 

7. Safeguarding & Child Protection

BrightLight Theatre & Events is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.

All facilitators working directly with under-18s hold an enhanced DBS check.

A copy of our safeguarding policy can be provided to schools or organisations on request.

We expect schools and organisations to have their own safeguarding policies and procedures in place, and to ensure a designated safeguarding lead (DSL) is available during workshops.

Any safeguarding concerns identified during our workshops will be reported in line with statutory guidance and referred to the appropriate 

authorities if necessary.

 

8. Liability

We take all reasonable steps to ensure our services, workshops, and equipment are safe and fit for purpose.

However, we are not liable for:

Any personal injury, loss, or damage arising from misuse of hired equipment or workshop activities outside of our control.

Delays or cancellations outside of our control (e.g., weather, venue access issues).

Third-party services or links from our website.

 

9. Use of Our Website

All content on our website (text, images, logo, designs) is owned by BrightLight Theatre & Events unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content for commercial purposes without permission.

We cannot guarantee that the website will be error-free or available at all times.

 

10. Data Protection
